Una delle figura femminile più attive del Risorgimento italiano. Cospiratrice mazziniana. Seguì nell’esilio svizzero il marito Giovanni, patriota condannato a morte in contumacia. Famoso il suo epistolario col Mazzini al quale fu legata da affettuosa amicizia.
